Rekha is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at GIANT and has been a leading figure in building innovation ecosystems since 2013 when she was appointed as the first ever Startup Entrepreneur in Residence for HM Government, working directly with the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills to simplify policy and facilitate growth.

She went on to launch Global Accelerator MassChallenge in the UK, creating a space for a first-to-market non-profit high-impact programme to scale 100+ companies at a time.  Working with a range of organisations from Government intelligence agencies and Banks to International Payment Systems and Global CPG Companies, Rekha was able to deliver strategic innovation objectives through the lens of startup engagement and experiential learning, as well as hosting Innovation Roundtables to bring the innovation community closer together.

No stranger to facilitating progress within complex and unintentionally restrictive environments, she has co-created initiatives that enable more successful collaborations between Corporates and scale-ups by simplifying legal and procurement documentation to reduce friction in the process and harmonize terminology.

As well as co-leading the Corporate Innovation agenda for Tech London Advocates, a group of 85 Innovation Leads & Specialists, Rekha is a judge, mentor and guest lecturer at some of London’s leading Business Schools including Kings College, UCL & Imperial Business School.

In 2016, Rekha was awarded a MBE honour by Her Majesty The Queen for services to Enterprise and Entrepreneurship.
